Hairdressing Masterclasses 2008.

East Durham College Hairdressing Department proudly present Master Classes in Barbering, Cutting and Hair-up.

The dates are as follows;

1 day Courses from 10am-4pm

Wednesday 14th May
TONI&GUY Cutting Master Class
Classic and varied methods of the ‘Bob’. 12places - £75.

Wednesday 4th June

TONI&GUY Hair up Master Class
Classic and funky techniques. 12 places - £75.

Wednesday 24th June

Simon Shaw Wahl Cutting & Barbering Master Class
Men’s Funky Designs. 10 places £175.

There is no remission of fees for the 1 day Master Classes.
The day will consist of demonstration in the morning session with a workshop on the afternoon.
Delegates must provide their own model for the event. Lunch and certificate are provided. Appropriate salon wear and closed toed shoes must be worn.
You must also be engaged within the Industry to enrol on a Master Class.

Level 3 School Prom Preview Event

Level 3 Hairdressing & Barbering students presented a 'Prom Preview' event on Monday 10th March 2008 in the Theatre. Year 10 & 11 students from local schools were invited into college to preview hairstyles, ball gowns & men's suits.
The event was a huge success and a special thanks to all the models, Just Perfect and Perfectly Suited for providing the ball gowns and suits.

Blackpool Overnight Trip Arrangements

Competitors & Models.

Please be Howletch Centre at 7.30am on Sunday 16th until Monday 17th March.

The competitions are held at Blackpool Winter Gardens and we will be staying at the Norbreck Castle Hotel, Queens Promenade.

· Bring a packed lunch and a drink as these can be expensive
· Trade stalls are there to purchase combs, brushes etc
· Breakfast is included although students may wish to purchase snacks
· All clothing and toiletries for an overnight stay (including a swimming costume)

All students will exchange mobile Nos with staff, and the 14-16 students will have buddys allocated.

The bus will return at approximately 9.30pm on th 17th at the Howletch Centre.

Students to make travel arrangements accordingly.

AHT National Hair & Beauty Competitions - Blackpool

The National Competitions will be held at Blackpool Wintergardens on Sunday 16th & Monday 17th March 2008.

Competitors and models will leave on Sunday morning.

A second bus for spectators is available on Monday at a cost of £5, this includes transport and ticket into the competitions and exhibition. This bus will leave the new car park at Howletch at 6.30am on Monday and return for approximately 9pm.

Places are limited and are offered on a strictly first come, first served basis. Bookings can be made via Carol or Cath.
